About

In a nutshell, this blog is about using Ubuntu Linux and noting down the things I have learned about it. It’s just a collection of notes for my own reference, that may or may not be useful to others.

I started with Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) and subsequent upgrades ( Feisty, Gutsy, Hardy, Intrepid…) on this Dell Precision M70 laptop. At the time of writing this, I am using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) and will soon be upgrading to 10.4 (Lucid Lynx). The computer has changed, too. I am now on a Dell Studio 1747. Occasionally, I note down things regarding a netbook that I also use, it’s an Acer Aspire One AOA150.

The comments are unmoderated and it is not an active blog at all – more an aide-memoire. So, don’t expect quick replies or any reply at all if you comment. Some of the posts, however, seem to be useful for some. For answers to your questions, I recommend the Ubuntu Forums.

Please see the introduction for more information.
